A grandson and his grandmother forge an unlikely bond in Amy Herzog’s award-winning play. Leo has just cycled coast to coast, ending his epic journey unannounced at Vera’s apartment in Manhattan. With troubles to offload Leo turns to his feisty grandmother Vera, who has one or two secrets of her own to share. 4000 Miles was the recipient of two 2012 OBIE Awards, including Best New American Play. It had its 2011 world premier at New York’s Lincoln Center Theater, playing to sold-out houses and receiving critical acclaim.
