The Aberdeen Bach Choir will perform their second concert celebrating the choir’s 60th anniversary on Sunday April 30th at 7:45 in St Machar's Cathedral. This will be a celebration of the Te Deum; a canticle from the fourth century, thought to have been written by St Ambrose and St Augustine, on the occasion of the latter's baptism by the former, and still in regular use in the church today.

The concert will explore music by British composers through the ages, with settings of the ancient text by Tallis, Byrd, Purcell, Stanford, Howells, and the twentieth century coronation settings by Vaughan Williams and Walton. The choir will be accompanied on the organ by David Gerrard, former Organ Scholar of Magdalen College Oxford.
