With support from:

Uniform (https://www.facebook.com/weareuniform)
Leanne Smith (https://www.facebook.com/Yanner#!/LeanneSmith2206?fref=ts)

The evening performance will feature the above acts and be pre-ceded by three day-time music industry panels, a sound check workshop and lunchtime concert.

Following on from the success of last September’s Music Open Day, which ran across the city in several venues, the Lemon Tree (with support from AIYF/ 57 North) are once again programming a day of events aimed at providing young musicians in the North-East access to informative seminars from several guest speakers in the daytime topped off with a top quality line up of live music in the evening.

During the day, music business event organisers Born To Be Wide will present two panels for emerging artists, promoters and managers with the first discussion focusing on getting and organising gigs and tours.  Their second panel will look at generating radio and media coverage.  Speakers will include BBC Radio 1’s Ally McCrae (BBC Radio 1), Scottish Alternative Music Award’s organiser Richy Muirhead and Glasgow promoter/blogger Hannah Currie.  The panels will be chaired by Born To Be Wide organisers Michael Lambert [who also manages Stanley Odd] and music journalist Olaf Furniss [The Scotsman].

EmuBands will provide the third panel offering information to bands on preparing a new release for distribution and also on how to get the most out of your release.

During the day there will also be an opportunity for those interested in sound engineering and sound check etiquette to enjoy a sound check workshop with Revere and the event will be kicked off by a special lunch-time concert in the Lemon Tree Lounge by the Marionettes at 1pm.

Please note that throughout the day the Lounge bar will be open to offer customers light lunch options - (sandwiches/ cakes) – with coffee, tea and drinks also available.
