One of the world’s biggest celebrations of young performers, Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF) brings you international culture through the performing arts.

We are delighted that the National Youth Orchestra Scotland (NYOS) will be starting their 2017 tour at AIYF under conductor Thierry Fischer - previous music director of the Utah Symphony Orchestra. With a programme, inspired by The Americas theme, that includes “American in Paris” from George Gershwin and “Symphony No 3” by Arron Copeland we are sure this will be a concert of the highest quality.

Another highlight of the evening will no doubt be the Scottish premiere of Andrew Norman’s percussion concerto “Switch” with NYOS patron, former member and now world renowned soloist Colin Currie.
