Aberdeen's Blitz - A Walking Tour Remembering 21 April 1943

Thursday 12 September 2013, Starts 7.30pm

Start point - Northern Hotel, by bus shelters

End  point - John Street/Charlotte Street

Tour focuses on the sites and stories of the night 130 bombs dropped on the  city, killing 98 civilians, Aberdeen’s worst air raid during World War ll, illustrated with images from local archives and contemporary reminiscences. We follow a route where some of the most tragic events occurred, ending in Charlotte Street. (Suitable for those of reasonable fitness, please wear sturdy shoes.)
