The Goldberg Variations | The Goldberg Celebration
“It was a positive sensation. The Canadian pianist is one of the reliably mesmerising musicians of the day!” The Sunday Times
Canadian pianist, Angela Hewitt OC OBE, has become one of the foremost pianists of her age and regularly performs in recital and with orchestras across the globe. Following a ten year project to record all of the major keyboard works of J.S. Bach, she is now heralded as today’s leading exponent of that composer’s work, and has won a huge following.
The catalogue was described by The Sunday Times as “one of the recorded glories of our age”, and she now brings two of its highlights to the stunning acoustic of the Music Hall. The Goldberg Variations and The Art of Fugue are two of the most significant works of one of the most important and influential composers of all time.
“What a pianist. What a performance. What an experience” The Herald
