Anita has teamed up with top players including Colin Steele, Mario Caribe and Euan
Stevenson to do a small Scottish tour and we are delighted to have them come to
the Blue Lamp.

Anita Wardell's singing is exciting and breathtaking. She is noted for her mesmerizing
and captivating vocal improvisations and vocalese lyrics to instrumental solos. Anita,
steeped in the bebop tradition, is a musician who uses the voice as her instrument,
displaying precision and agility, mixed with heartfelt emotion.

Anita was the recipient of a 2006 BBC Jazz Award and British Jazz award in 2016.
