A wee taster of what is to come at the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention, which returns to Aberdeen from 11 to 15 July 2018.

The evening’s programme includes NAFCo Ambassador, and celebrated Tarland fiddler, Paul Anderson will showcase the rich and vibrant fiddle tradition of the North-East along with local musicians Shona Donaldson, Raemond Jappy, Ronnie Gibson, Naomi Ballantyne, Sandy Tweddle, Claire White, dancer Pat Ballantyne and more.  Perthshire fiddler and composer Patsy Reid, with pianist Alistair Iain Paterson, will share her own arrangements of traditional tunes and new compositions, including a sneak peek at a new piece being commissioned for NAFCo 2018.  Glasgow based violinist Janos Lang and cimbalom player Janos Kallai from London are two Hungarian Roma musicians who will join forces in exploration of Eastern-European Gypsy music and beyond.
