Alan Spence is one of Scotland’s best loved writers, with a strong connection to the North East. He is an award-winning poet and playwright, novelist and short story writer. For many years he taught Creative Writing at Aberdeen University, where he founded the WORD Festival and ran it for 12 years. His most recent books are the novel Night Boat the poetry collection Morning Glory and the play No Nothing which was performed to great acclaim last year at the Lemon Tree. His earlier play Sailmaker is a set text in Scottish schools. Join Alan for a memorable reading of new work with a few of his greatest hits!
