Ben Okri , born in Nigeria, is a world class writer, one of the finest of his generation. Novelist, poet, essayist and playwright, he won the Booker Prize for his novel The Famished Road. There is a richness to his work, which is at once literary and grounded in an oral storytelling tradition. In performance he is mesmerising, a powerful presence.
