Culture Cafe: Christopher Brookmyre (writer)

Aberdeen Performing Arts presents Culture Cafe with Christopher Brookmyre

Christopher Brookmyre made an immediate impact with his stunning debut novel Quite Ugly One Morning, gaining a cult following which has grown with each subsequent book.  The titles give a clue – Boiling a Frog, A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away, One Fine Day in the Middle of the Night

There’s a wild, dark, anarchic sense of humour at work here, and it’s linked to a real gift for storytelling.  He’s usually listed as a ‘crime writer’ (sub-genre Tartan Noir).  But that’s not the half of it.  His most recent novels are Flesh Wounds and Dead Girl Walking.
