In the Hearts of Humans and #TRANS

by Tamsyn Russell and Cultured Mongrel Dance Theatre

In a special performance for DanceLive 2015, Citymoves Dance Agency has commissioned Tamsyn Russell & Cultured Mongrel Dance Theatre to re-author and re-choreograph an existing work from each others repertoire.

In the Hearts of Humansby Tamsyn Russell
An exploration of the human condition and an investigation of the complex nature of being human. This high energy and humourous duet examines different behaviours, exposes private thoughts and reflects the complexities and idiosyncrasies that determine what it is to be human. With a combination of eclectic music from Devendra Banhart to to Ennio Morricone to Eddie Arnold results in the creation of a world which is forever changing

#TRANS by Cultured Mongrel Dance Theatre
An exploration of gender roles, identity and sexual orientation in modern life questioning the point at which the comical stereotype becomes objectification. The possibility of a person to be forever in a state of transformation and separating sexuality from sex.

In the Hearts of Humans and #TRANS alongside the two new works will form the centre of an evening which will also see each artist choreographing a new work for Fusion Youth Dance Company.
