Indepen-dance 4 – Triple Bill

Extracts from The Gadfly Project featuring Step Forward
Set to the breathtaking score of The Gadfly Suite by Dmitri Shostakovitch, choreographers (Marc Brew and Cheryl McChesney) were invited to respond to an overarching theme of revolution and the human capacity to galvanise and rise against injustice.

You et Vous
Choreographed by George Adams
Dancers with and without disabilities together on stage offer an interplay of multiple identities, capabilities and limitations; a portrait of beauty and vulnerability of the human body

Choreographed by Lucy Bennett and Chris Pavia of Stopgap Dance Company

Watching the world through his aquarium, Owen Moon’s imagination begins to seep into his everyday life. When reality starts to shake his dream world, Owen submerges himself deeper into a fantasy full of fish, space and MTV.

This work is an extract from The Gadfly Project, produced by Dance House Glasgow as part of the 2014 Cultural Programme and celebrating Get Scotland Dancing, first performed with full live orchestra as part of Go Dance 14 at Theatre Royal Glasgow.
