Douglas Dunn is a major Scottish poet and an influential editor, teacher and critic. He has been Professor in the School of English at the University of St Andrews since 1991, overseeing the University’s exceptional Creative Writing programme. His own collections include the deeply moving Elegies, and many other award-winning volumes, including Terry Street, Barbarians, The Year’s Afternoonand New Selected Poems. Anthologies edited include The Faber Book of Twentieth-Century Scottish Poetry and The Oxford Book of Scottish Short Stories. He was awarded an OBE in 2003.
