Fat Suit with support from Jellyman's Daughter

 Blue Lamp

Fat-Suit are making their return to Aberdeen following a sell-out appearance at the Aberdeen Jazz Festival. They are currently touring in support of their third album 'Atlas' which has already been tipped by many as a potential album of the year. The cast has been assembled from a diversity of musical backgrounds and owe a debt to a number of genres including contemporary jazz, funk, folk & rock. The band list Snarky Puppy, Vulfpeck and GoGoPenguin as obvious influences, but Fat-Suit are already opening up fresh lines of enquiry. Fat-Suit have a strength in depth as well as in numbers and can call on some of Scotland’s finest young musicians. This is the sound of next generation jazz, where highly informed and extremely open-minded players curate new music for a new century."

Support is provided by “Jellyman’s Daughter”

The Jellyman's Daughter is a Scottish duo featuring Emily Kelly (vocals, guitar, mandolin) and Graham Coe (vocals, cello). Emily and Graham found an affinity in the way their voices combined and a new sound in the way they could combine cello and acoustic guitar or mandolin, with influences ranging from bluegrass to postrock. Graham’s cello in particular added an unique element with his rhythmic, percussive and unconventional playing.
