Sweet White

Sweet White are a 5-piece indie band from Peterhead, Scotland. Things began with only 2 members writing and recording music together in a bedroom.

Now two years down the line with the addition of some friends, one released EP and some national radio coverage, including plays from Jim Gellatly, Sweet White have been gigging live to great reviews from crowds and promoters alike, with a number of headline shows. The band were also recently featured in UK national newspaper The Daily Record's Soundcheck column on 25/4/15.

Sweet White's sound has been described in a live review as "catchy as funk, sharp indie-rock numbers guided by pop sensibilities." similar to bands like Foals and Peace.

Sweet White currently have a number of dates booked across Scotland this year and are currently continuing work on a second EP to be released this Autumn accompanied by a Scottish tour.

"GONZO are a fuzzy post-punk, garage duo that take a very experimental approach to their songwriting. Formed in Aberdeen, the duo consists of Kyle Robertson-Smith (vocalist/drummer) and Matthew Lukowski (guitarist/vocalist). They try not to focus too much on duplicating any one sound but instead find their own unique sound.

Kyle and Matthew – both now aged 16 - met in their first year of secondary school, when they were assigned neighbouring seats in English class. Kyle had been playing the drums for 6 years when Matthew decided to learn the guitar and in April of 2014 they decided to get together and jam for the first time. Six months later, GONZO was formed as both members had been writing songs together for a couple months. The duo recorded their first live demo in November, which received positive feedback and resulted in their first gigs at venues such as The Lemon Tree, Tunnels and Downstairs (Malt Mill)"
