Architectural Walking Tour of Aberdeen

Aberdeen's nineteenth century expansion left an architectural legacy in granite which is second to none, including one of the finest street vistas in Europe. Discover more about the origins and development of the city and marvel at the skill with which this resilient construction material has been tamed to create some of Aberdeen's granite masterpieces. Aberdeen City Heritage Trust's Douglas Campbell and historian Chris Croly will lead this tour which starts in Castlegate and ends in Golden Square.

The walk of up to 2 hours will include navigation of steep steps and walking over uneven surfaces. Appropriate footwear must be worn.

Meet at the Mercat Cross on the Castlegate – staff will be wearing high-visibility jackets.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the advertised start time to allow tickets to be checked and the tour to leave promptly.

THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED. THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS AVAILABLE ON THE DAY
