Gilded Balloon presents
Experience Scottish singer-songwriter Horse McDonald’s new biographical play - an inspirational story of how music helped her triumph over bullies, prejudice and her struggles with sexual identity.
Growing up gay in Lanark in the 70’s, when the reward is half a pack of fruit pastilles, when the lady on the train tells you about the doctor you should meet. Horse takes us on a journey from wearing two-tone velvet loons to becoming one of Scotland’s most celebrated singers and through those times when she had to be... Careful. Hear her open and honest account about the hard facts of growing up gay in Lanark, with some of her musical tunes thrown into the journey too.
The second half of the evening features a live audience Q&A with Horse and director Maggie Kinloch and a mini set of her greatest hits, performed by Horse.
