Massif Collectif are a five piece band from our Twin City of Clermont Ferrand.  Aberdeen City Council have provided a grant to allow us to bring them from France direct to The Blue Lamp for this performance to strengthen the cultural bonds between our two cities .

Massif Collectif play jazz with influences from so many times and places. Their underlying style is very much based on the familiar modern jazz masters (Miles, Hancock, Holland, Coleman ...) but then they add layers from the age-old traditions of Africa and India, plus their local Auvergne folklore to produce a style and sound that is distinct and individual.

Davy Sladek (alto and soprano saxophones)
Franck Alcaraz (Tenor Saxophone)
Yannick Room (Fender Rhodes, compositions)
Dominique Mollet (Bass)
Marc Verne (Drums)
