ALAN MACKAY CHARITY CONCERT

Alan Mackay was a great supporter of jazz in Aberdeen and of Aberdeen musicians.  This concert celebrates his efforts by presenting three great local acts with all proceeds going to cancer charities.

OGD Trio are a classic Hammond organ trio of Organ, Guitar and Drums featuring three of Aberdeen's finest musicians, Alan King on organ, Colin Black on guitar and Bill Kemp on drums.  They will excite you with the great

Mary May is a singer from the far flung Fraserburgh with a stunning voice and a repertoire of jazz standards which she makes her own with her special arrangements.  She sings with a great rhythm section of Alan King on piano, Pete Lowitt on bass and Bill Kemp on drums.

Al Hyland is an Aberdeen sax player who has been involved in numerous jazz and funk bands over many years.  He is now branching out in a new direction with an ensemble playing his own compositions and arrangements.  Expect contemporary and exciting music.
