Jazz at the Blue Lamp presents


French avant garde music troupe Sidony Box appear at the Blue Lamp for an exclusive UK performance following release of their third album 'Sidony Box Rules'.

Sidony Box is a power jazz trio with alto saxophonist Elie Dalibert, drummer Arthur Narcy and guitarist Manuel Adnot. Renowned as a major band of the new generation of french Jazz and improvised music, Sidony Box perform songs influenced by Bon Iver's Pop music, Brian Eno's electronic music, Sigur Ros' Post/Pop, Animals as Leaders' technical Metal or Ornette Coleman's Free-Jazz. With three albums awarded by international press (Boston Globe, All About Jazz…) in only three years and in famous music labels (Naive, 7th Records, Yolk), Sidony Box travels through Europe and shares stages with great Jazz internationals artists such as Ron Carter, Me'Shell NdeGeocello who invited them on stage at Paris, Tigran Hamasyan, Emile Parisien... The Power/Jazz trio also was award-winner of the “Rezzo Jazz a Vienne 2010” showcase and selected for the AFIJMA's “Jazz Migration 2011” tour.
