Junior Aberdeen Youth Music Theatre presents

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat

An Amateur Youth Production by arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd

Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber
Lyrics by Tim Rice

Junior AYMT are “Opening Every Door” at the Tivoli Theatre when they take to the stage with the block busting musical “Joseph”.  Following on from the Seniors, this will be AYMT’s 2nd production in this historic theatre and our Junior group are looking forward to bringing the theatre to life with colour and song.

The story of Joseph and his amazing Technicolor coat is one of the best known stories in the Bible.  Joseph, his father’s favourite son, is given a coat of many colours by his father.  His brothers are jealous of this favouritism and they sell Joseph into slavery where he is taken to Egypt.  However, Joseph is blessed with interpreting dreams and when the Pharaoh hears of this, asks upon his help and soon becomes Pharaoh’s “Right hand man”. Over the years the brothers have suffered greatly, so go to Egypt to seek help and when presented to Joseph they do not recognise their younger brother.  After testing their integrity, Joseph reveals himself and is re-united with his family.  This is a vibrant and colourful musical and is definitely a family favourite.
