Short story writer Helen Lynch teaches at University of Aberdeen and is Co-Director of the WORD Centre for Creative Writing. The Elephant and the Polish Question, was published in 2009 and she has recently completed her second collection, Tea for the Rent Boy. Shane Strachan’s fiction often focuses on north-east fishing communities and features the Doric language. An Honorary Fellow of the WORD Centre for Creative Writing, his work has been published nationally and his drama staged in Aberdeen.
