Inés Arteta is one of the most interesting new voices in the Argentinian literary scene, winning numerous prizes, most recently the prestigious ‘Premio Municipal’. She has published one novel and two collections of short stories, including Chicas Bien (2007), translated into English as Bed with No Sheets (2011). Her non-fiction work focuses on gender conflict and social problems in urban Argentina and her latest book is about religiosity in the violent shanty towns of Buenos Aires.
