Julian Furman was born and educated in London to an Argentine father and a Japanese-German mother. He spent much of his childhood in recently-opened China, and in Israel. Julian holds a Masters in International Studies and Diplomacy, and worked with the Knesset’s Constitution Law and Justice Committee. Set in Tel-Aviv, his first novel, This is How We Talk (Freight, 2017) fearlessly examines the lives of the younger generation of Israelis, alienated from their state and morally conflicted about their role as soldiers and citizens burdened with responsibility of forging the future for a nation perpetually at war with itself. Book Signing: 12.00pm, May Tent, King’s Lawn.
