May Festival - Re-tuning the Harp of the North: Editing Walter Scott's Poetry

Please Note- Tickets may be available at the May Fest venue box office at the University of Aberdeen (King College Conference centre ). These will subject to availability and on a cash only basis for paid events.

Walter Scott's poetry has had little critical attention in recent years but it was the foundation upon which his fame was built. Staff from the University of Aberdeen are now preparing a new edition of his poetry to be published in 10 volumes. The first volume to appear, Marmion, will be published this summer. Ainsley McIntosh and Alison Lumsden will discuss the challenges they have faced in editing Scott and the rewards to be found in reading his poetry.
