Join BBC Award winning folk musician, Riverdance band member and soloist on the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit soundtracks for a concert talk on his highly innovative new project which combines cutting edge electronic music production tools such as pure data and embedded processing with some recently discovered 18th century musical instrument making techniques invented by none other than James Watt. Innovations that would culminate in the complex Victorian clockwork music machines such as The Polyphon, and in which the development Scottish music during this period found its social distillation.
