Marking the centenary of the death of Old-Aberdeen-born poet, Charles Hamilton Sorley, killed by a sniper at the Battle of Loos, with readings of Sorley’s poems and a performance of Expectans Expectavi, Charles Wood’s setting of a Sorley poem (1919), by the Vhoir of King's College, Aberdeen led by David Smith. The event will include a brief talk about Sorley as well as a reading of ‘Sorley’s Bullet’, a new poem by Martin Malone.
