The Vinyl Theatre presents
Old Times by Nobel Prize-winning playwright Harold Pinter is a fascinating, psychological study of memory - of how we can use it and how it uses us. First performed in 1971, Old Times introduces Kate and Deeley, who have been together for 20 years, but their seemingly idyllic life by the coast is about to be interrupted by Anna. Why has Anna come to visit Kate after so many years? What has she got to gain? What do all three have to lose? As the dramatic events unfold, the battle for possession rages on, with memory being the most dangerous weapon on show.
Old Times is widely regarded as one of Harold Pinter’s masterpiece plays. It continues to be performed around the world to critical acclaim having been most recently staged in London’s West End in 2013 with a cast including Kristen Scott Thomas. In September this year, Clive Owen will take on the role of Deeley in Old Times’ latest Broadway revival.
Old Times is produced and performed by TheVinylTheatre. Their most recent production was A Steady Rain in Vancouver, Canada in June 2014 and previously in Aberdeen with Betrayal by Harold Pinter in May 2014.
