Originally born in Wales, Philip Sayce moved to Toronto when he was 2 years old. As a teenager he became heavily influenced by guitar greats including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Healey and Mark Knopfler. He fronts a powerhouse 3 piece band.
Support is from Gerry Jablonski and the Electric Band.
Philip is touring in support of his fifth album “Influence” produced by Dave Cobb who has worked recently with Rival Sons and California Breed. It contains 13 blues rock tracks, 6 of them self penned. It is album of the month in Guitar Magazine. He mastered his trade recording and touring with the Jeff Healey Band and played Eric Clapton’s 2013 Crossroads Festival at Madison Square Gardens.
It is an honour for Blues Rock Aberdeen to attract Philip to the Granite City and if you are going to see Joanne Shaw Taylor at the Lemon Tree on 6 November 2014, then this show is a MUST see. There is an interview with Philip in the August issue of the Blues Magazine.
