Puppet Lab presents Twitawoo
Puppet Animation Festival 2015
Owl, Badger, Squirrel, Pine Marten and friends all live in the woods. They love it there and they especially love Gerry, the Forest Ranger, who has a hard time looking after them and managing the forest.
Twitawoo is a brand new show from the Puppet Lab, which brings to life a host of fabulous Scottish woodland creatures. Funny and mischievous, the forest friends share their adventures and invite you to help them look after their home.
Since it was founded in 1984, the Puppet Lab has been introducing children and adults to puppetry through its beautifully crafted and imaginative productions, creating much loved shows including Frog Princess, Funnybones, Beauty and the Beast and Lost Sock Princess, which have toured extensively throughout the UK and Ireland as well as at the Puppet Animation Festival.

Damien and Martin are brothers who do not see very much of their elderly Aunt Agatha. But the business is in difficulties. Agatha has wisdom, experience, and money. It’s the money that they want to focus on. Expecting to inherit her cash, and not too enthusiastic about the wait, it is decided the time is right to invite her round for a “ fly cup.” They have also bought some poison. At the visit, revelations unfold, attitudes change, consciences rise and sink, and refreshments are served. Nothing will be the same after Auntie Agatha comes to tea.
This production brings together the award winning team of Stellar Quines Artistic Director Muriel Romanes and designer Keith McIntyre who together created The Unconquered, winner of the Best New Play in the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland, 2007.
