Aberdeen Youth Music Theatre presents

An Amateur Theatre Production by special arrangement with and all authorised performance materials supplied by: Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW), 570 7th Avenue, Suite 2100, New York, NY 10018, www.theatricalrights.com

AYMT are always looking for a challenge and this year presents us with our biggest one to date as we will be moving venue to the Tivoli Theatre, Guild Street for our productions in 2015.  This historic theatre built in 1872, hosted many stars of it’s time but sadly became a bingo hall in 1966.  It completely closed it’s doors to the public in 1998.  This beautiful building is currently being refurbished to it’s former glory and AYMT are delighted and excited to be given the opportunity to perform in such magnificent surroundings.  The first of our 3 shows in 2015 comes from our Senior section with “The Addams Family”.

Morticia and Gomez Addams are shocked when they discover that their daughter, Wednesday, has fallen in love with a “normal” teenager, Lucas Beinekes.  They invite him and his parents to dinner, an evening which both families will never forget.  This comically dark tale of family secrets and intrigue will make for a hilarious night out.

A Play, a Pie and a Pint: 'Auntie Agatha Comes To Tea' George Milne @ The Lemon Tree

Damien and Martin are brothers who do not see very much of their elderly Aunt Agatha. But the business is in difficulties. Agatha has wisdom, experience, and money. It’s the money that they want to focus on. Expecting to inherit her cash, and not too enthusiastic about the wait, it is decided the time is right to invite her round for a “ fly cup.” They have also bought some poison. At the visit, revelations unfold, attitudes change, consciences rise and sink, and refreshments are served. Nothing will be the same after Auntie Agatha comes to tea.

"HMT’s 1906 isn’t just the first port of call for a top night out for a show, but a very good restaurant in its own right…As the curtain fell on the evening, I realised that the quality of food and very reasonable prices of 1906 would lead to an inevitable, and welcome, encore." Evening Express
