The Mentulls

Blues Rock Aberdeen presents The Mentulls at Cafe Drummond

The Mentulls are a young trio of musicians who play their own unique brand of ‘prog rock blues’. Andrew Pipe handles guitar and vocals and is influenced by Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Andy Powell (Wishbone Ash), Paul Kossoff & Joe Bonamassa to name a few. His brother Jamie is on keyboards (like The Doors there is no bass guitarist) and Nick Colman is the drummer.

They released their third album “Reflections” in 2015 to wide critical acclaim. Classic Rock Magazine called the album ‘adventurous’ and Rock Society said it was possibly the best album they had heard all year. You can see many other reviews on their website

The album was produced by Wayne Proctor (The Nimmo Brothers and King King). Blues Rock Aberdeen (The Nimmo Brothers, Laurence Jones, Ryan McGarvey) have been playing the album constantly since its release and now gives Aberdeen music fans the opportunity to see this exciting talent before the band play bigger venues.
