August brings you a very Scottish Trickery with some of the best acts from North of the border. Headlining the evening will be Chris Dinwoodie. No stranger to the Trickery stage, Woody, as he likes to be called, was the very first headliner we ever had at The Trickery. Now he is a four times winner of the Scottish Close-up magic championship as well as a member of the illustrious Magic Circle. Woody combines his Glasgow charm with sleight of hand miracles for an unmissable performance - highly interactive, fun & cheeky magic.
Graham Mackie will be providing comedy on the night. One of the biggest and most recognisable names on the comedy circuit at the moment, Graham is a two time finalist in the Scottish Comedian of the Year competition. With several television credits to his name, most recently he appeared on BBC 2's Christmas Special of The Limmy show as Santa, it is great to have him at The Trickery. "An inherently warm, likeable character who instinctively brought a spark of joy to the shivering auditorium" - Chortle Rosco McSkeleton is one of the most exciting new acts to come out of Scotland in the last 5 years. If you like Jack Dee, imagine if he were Glaswegian...and had a skeleton painted on his face - it's something that's must see. A master of tension, storytelling and uniqueness it's no wonder why this man is one of the most talked about acts on the Scottish Comedy Circuit. Where else but The Trickery would you be able to see a deadpan skeleton comedian perform.
Burlesque will be provided on the evening by Daiquiri Dusk. Instantly recognisable from Britain's Got Talent where she got four yeses AND a Standing Ovation from Amanda Holden. Since Then Daiquiri has become an International Burlesque Sensation recently becoming a Finalist at the prestigious Milan Burlesque Awards & has just returned from a second year at The World Burlesque Games. We are very lucky to have Daiquiri at The Trickery for the very first time.
