The Trickery, Late Lounge @ The Office

Over 18's only

An evening of magical wonder, breath-taking burlesque and hilarious comedy - all in one show!

We’re back with lots more shows and variety acts from all over the world. Based in the Cabaret Bar “The Office Late Lounge” on Crown Street, we’ll be bringing you the best, most original cabaret acts every month.

Meet February’s headliner Colin Cloud. He left ITV’s Jonathan Ross speechless (surely a first!). Ant and Dec screamed in disbelief! Mind reader and spoon-bender Uri Geller described him as “one of the greatest thought readers of all time” and others say he’s the next Derren Brown – but Colin Cloud says he is more like Sherlock Holmes.

When the other boys were out playing football and hiding in the woods, Colin was predicting the score and finding their hiding places with almost psychic accuracy.

He’s the Sherlock Holmes of entertainment, if Sherlock Holmes had a flair for comedy. Cloud has performed for professional sceptics like Penn and Teller. He has wowed the hard-to-please Simon Cowell. He has certainly left people convinced that he does indeed have mystical skills of reading minds and influencing outcomes.

With 22 sold out performances at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival to 5 star reviews and signed to NBC Universal for a TV series, Colin Cloud has firmly established his mainstream reputation. Colin Cloud is a forensic mind reader and you know you want to see him.

What’s more – he knows it too

Making her Trickery Burlesque debut is Viola Vermin. A Neoburlesque performer with a creepy, gothic twist. Starting her performing skills as a fire dancer she slowly added the art of seduction, leading to her burlesque, with a bit of a kick. An international performer from Aberdeen started burlesque here, and slowly speed her plague across the globe, from the Edinburgh fringe, to the world famous Slipper Room in New York, Viola has left audience members shaking in their seats.
Don't worry; she won't bite, too hard.

Comedy on the night will be provided by Claire Pirie. A new comedienne to the scene, Claire has already found herself in high demand. One of Aberdeen’s own and she will tell you all about it. Guaranteed laughs from one of the Granite City’s finest comediennes.
