Festival Pass Show

Aberdeen Performing Arts presents True North – Aberdeen’s festival of music and song – will take place in venues around the city from Thursday 22 - Sunday 25 September. The festival is inspired by the fantastic heritage of singer-songwriters in the North-east, and features a line-up of iconic musicians and emerging talent.

King Creosote
Kenny Anderson, known by his stage name King Creosote, hails from Fife. To date, he has released more than 40 albums, and his collaborative album with Jon Hopkins, Diamond Mine, was nominated for a Mercury Prize and Scottish Album of the Year Award.

Plus support from Rick Redbeard
Rick Anthony – or Rick Redbeard as his solo name goes – is originally from Aberdeenshire and is now based in Glasgow. He is the singer and guitarist in rock group The Phantom Band, but performs solo under his Redbeard pseudonym. He is signed to Chemikal Underground Records and released his second album this summer – the follow-up to his debut No Selfish Heart.
