Recommended for children aged 9-12 years old
Come and enjoy a set of performances from some talented musicians where young people can experience a gig without parents in a friendly, safe environment. Parents can drop their kids off and relax in our parent crèche at The Lemon Tree where there will be refreshments and entertainment safe in the knowledge their children are experiencing a music festival.
There will be mini stalls for face painting, fake tattoos, freak shakes, floral headbands and more! Performances at the event will come from Bella And The Bear and Lizabett Russo.
Bella And The Bear
Bella and the Bear continue to captivate audiences across the country with their live show; setting spoken word and musical intricacies to the backdrop of folk fairy tales. Within a year, they have won 2015’s Calmac Culture award, been named Best Newcomer at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards and been the recipient of a Danny Kyle award at this year’s Celtic Connections.
"Bella and the Bear have entered the music world and become irreplaceable in the Scottish scene" Ravechild
"With spoken word that’s so sharp and observant, it lifts the songs to another realm entirely" The Herald
"Loaded with nothing short of exquisite lyricism, soaring melodies and water tight musicianship" Tenement TV
Lizabett’s vocal style and songwriting incorporates elements of folk, classical and soul combined with a sense of urgency and originality which is very much belonging to the here and now.
This event will run 2pm - 4pm in The Lemon Tree Studio and is recommended for children aged 9-12 years old
