Wrestling action returns to the Beach Leisure Centre for the first time in over two decades this summer!
And WrestleZone management have scored a huge coup with the signing of former WWE Intercontinental champion Drew Galloway, who will return to Scotland for his first independent bout in the Granite City for over eight years!
Galloway, otherwise known as the “Chosen One” Drew McIntyre, will be in action as WrestleZone present “Battle of the Nations” on Saturday 30 August. A host of local grapplers such as Crusher Craib, Scotty Swift and the Thunder Buddies will also be in body-slamming action.
Since leaving Scotland in 2006, Galloway went onto huge success as part of wrestling faction 3MB; picking up a host of honours in WWE.
His return to Scotland comes on the back of WrestleZone’s sell-out event at the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom in May, and there is set to be more great action as the grapplers battle for national pride at the Beach Leisure Centre.
The Battle of the Nations has previously be contested by competitors from Scotland, England and Ireland, and this year rivalry will be renewed as Galloway represents his homeland in the wrestling ring.
There are also set to be two championship matches as both the Undisputed and Tag Team titles are defended.
There will also be an exclusive after-show meet-and-greet with Drew for all ticket-holders.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the action underway from 7pm. All seats are unreserved with tickets on sale for £12 plus a booking fee.
More information about the event can be found at www.wrestlezonescotland.co.uk
We hope you can be there to welcome home one of Scotland’s finest grappling exports and cheer on the next generation of Scottish wrestling superstars.
