A double helping of glam rock for the Granite City

The Granite City is set for a glam make over when 70s rockers Slade and Sweet join forces for a double bill party at Aberdeen’s Music Hall this winter.

The two bands will play the city centre venue on Sunday, December 1 and tickets for the gig go on sale tomorrow (Friday) online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

One of Europe's biggest bands in the 70s, the Slade line-up includes founders guitarist Dave Hill and drummer Don Powell alongside bassist John Berry and vocalist Mal McNulty, and they’ll rock out some of their classic hits like Cum onFeel the Noize and Mama, We’re All Crazee Now.

Rock music phenomena and the quintessential glam rock band Sweet have spent over three years in the UK charts alone; sold over 55 million records across the globe, and have had 34 No1 hits worldwide including Blockbuster.

In their line-up they have lead vocalist and bass guitarist Pete Lincoln, drummer and vocalist Bruce Bisland, guitarist, keyboard player and vocalist Tony O’Hora and guitarist and vocalist Andy Scott.
