Santa isn’t the only one making special deliveries for Christmas – as His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen is giving away 300 tickets to their spectacular panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to local community groups and charities.
Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA), the company which runs the theatre, and the producers of the show, Qdos Entertainment are inviting groups to apply for the tickets through an application form on APA’s website by Sunday, November 17, and the successful groups will be allocated tickets to panto performances early in December.
And their youngsters will enjoy a trip to HMT to see the magical story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, starring Elaine C Smith as the Wicked Queen, Alan McHugh as the Dame - Sweaty Betty - Jordan Young as Muddles and Tom McGovern as the Wicked Queen’s First Minister.
The show is being staged by the same team behind the theatre’s last five recording-breaking pantomimes, with lavish sets, fabulous costumes, an abundance of comedy and even a fire breathing dragon!
"We are delighted to be able to offer tickets for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to community groups who might not otherwise get to see the panto,” said APA chief executive Jane Spiers.
“The HMT panto is a great Christmas tradition for a lot of people, and for many children, it is their first experience of live theatre - we would like to share that magical excitement with as many people as we can.”
Application forms can be downloaded by clicking here, or are available by emailing email@example.com. They must be in before Sunday, November 18, marked FREE PANTO TICKETS and the successful groups will be told by Monday, November 26.
Unfortunately, due to the anticipated high level of applications, unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
For those wishing to buy tickets to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, they are available online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phoning 01224 641122 or by visiting Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall or His Majesty’s Theatre.
