Santa isn’t the only one making special deliveries for Christmas – as His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen is giving away 300 tickets to their spectacular panto Peter Pan to local community groups and charities.
Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA), the company which runs the theatre, and the producers of the show, Qdos Entertainment, are inviting groups to apply for the tickets through an application form on APA’s website by Friday, November 20.
The successful groups will be allocated tickets to panto performances on either Tuesday, December 1 or Wednesday, December 2.
And their youngsters will enjoy a trip to HMT to see the spectacular panto Peter Pan, starring Elaine C Smith as the Magical Mermaid, Alan McHugh as Dame Maggie Celeste, Jordan Young as Smee, Scott Fletcher (Peter Pan) , John Jack (Captain Hook), Maggie Lynne (Wendy), Lisa Lynch (Tinkerbell) and Gillian Parkhouse (Tiger Lily).
The show is being staged by the same team behind the theatre’s last eight Box Office-busting pantomimes, with lavish sets, fabulous costumes, and an abundance of comedy.
"We are delighted to be able to offer tickets for Peter Pan to community groups who might not otherwise get to see the panto,” press manager Joyce Summers.
“The HMT panto is a great Christmas tradition for a lot of people, and for many children it is their first experience of live theatre - we would like to share that magical excitement with as many as we can.”
Application forms can be downloaded here, or are available by emailing email@example.com. They must be in before Friday, November 20 at noon, marked FREE PANTO TICKETS and the successful groups will be told by Monday, November 23.
Unfortunately, due to the anticipated high level of applications, unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
For those wishing to buy tickets to Peter Pan, they are available online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phoning 01224 641122 or by visiting Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall or His Majesty’s Theatre.
