Officially one of the 100 most powerful women in the UK – and one of the funniest – stand-up comedian Sarah Millican is planning a two-night summer stop-over at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen next year.
For the Queen of Comedy will take her new show Outside to the city centre theatre on Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20 next year, on her fourth national tour.
Tickets go on sale to APA Friends at 9.30am tomorrow (Thursday) and to the general public at 9am on Friday (March 27) online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty's Theatre.
“This makes it a Sarah Millican hat-trick for us here at Aberdeen Performing Arts,” says delighted APA press manager Joyce Summers. “With the two shows at His Majesty’s Theatre, she will have performed at all three of the venues we run here in Aberdeen – first at the Lemon Tree and then last year at the Music Hall.
“She was a huge hit both times, and I know fans will be thrilled she is returning. It will be the hottest ticket of the summer.”
Listed last year as one of the 100 most powerful women in the United Kingdom by Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Sarah has fast established herself as a household name since winning the 2008 if.comedy Best Newcomer Award for her debut solo show, Sarah Millican’s Not Nice at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
