Dora’s set to challenge city’s young explorers at His Majesty’s Theatre

A live musical adventure, bringing a popular children’s show to the stage, will stop at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen for three days on a national tour, following its UK premiere in London’s West End.

Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer LIVE! Search for the City of Lost Toys at the city theatre from Friday to Sunday, April 12 to 14, is designed to teach youngsters to explore, communicate, overcome obstacles, solve puzzles and discover a diverse and exciting world - all while having a lot of fun!

In the two act, song and dance spectacular Dora has lost her teddy bear Osito, and the search is on to retrieve him, with the help of the audience, Map, Backpack, Boots, Diego and their courageous friends.

They use their map-reading, counting, musical and language skills to successfully pass through the number pyramid and the mixed-up jungle to reach the City of Lost Toys – and avoid the sneaky fox Swiper.

One of the channel’s most beloved shows, Dora the Explorer airs daily on Nick Jr. at 8:30am 11am and 4.30pm, and the series follows her adventures in her imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests.

She explores her world just as children do every day, and the show is designed to actively engage its audience using a variety of learning techniques. Award-winning Dora the Explorer currently reaches more pre-schoolers than any other show on television (12.4 million).

Tickets for Dora the Explorer LIVE! at HMT are available online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

We seemed to have lost the comment for the Dora age range. It's classed as suitable for pre-school so should fit just nicely with 2 and up
