Hip hop stars Rizzle Kicks Aberdeen debut

Brit hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks – Jordan ‘Rizzle’ Stephens and Harley ‘Sylvester’ Alexander-Sule – are to make their Aberdeen debut at the Music Hall on Friday, November 30, fresh from the release of their debut album.

Tickets are on sale online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

The Brighton pals – who first got together as kids in 1996 when they played round Rizzle's auntie's house – are playing the city centre venue as part of a national headline tour.

They realised their styles fitted together nicely when rapping over samples of some of their favourite artists when they were at college and the Rizzle Kicks were born.

The newly-formed duo hustled beats from local producers and started making their own music videos with a friend of theirs, which featured on YouTube.

Having finally been able to get into a proper studio with some talented producers, in October they brought out their first album, a mixture of pop and hip hop incorporating the fun elements of the old school hip-hop era circa 1988-92.
