Acclaimed and often controversial Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle will be testing new material at Aberdeen's The Lemon Tree as he brings his Work In Progress tour to the city centre venue.
Tickets for the one-night only event on Monday August 31 will be limited to two per customer and go on a limited pre-sale to APA Friends on Thursday (June 4) and to the general public on Friday (June 5) online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
Aberdeen Performing Arts New Media Marketing Officer Andrew Raffan said: “Having Frankie Boyle include us on his Work In Progress tour underlines that Aberdeen is firmly established as a don’t-miss stop for headlining comedians. We’re sure this show will be hugely popular when tickets go on sale this week.”
Frankie Boyle is one of the biggest names on the comedy scene today, following his run as Mock the Week panellist, writing and starring in his Channel 4 programme Tramadol Nights and hosting Live At The Apollo.
He has completed three sold-out national tours, sold over 1 million DVDs and is the author of three bestselling books. Most recently he hosted BBC's Frankie Boyle’s Election Autopsy.
