The latest production at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen is an old favourite – Mackie’s Ice Cream.
Locally-based at Westertown Farm in Aberdeenshire, the award-winning company previously supplied ice creams to the city theatre and are once again taking a starring role in interval treats due to popular demand.
Said Aberdeen Performing Arts Front of House manager Nicola Eddie: “We encourage theatre-goers to let us know what they think of our venues through our feedback forms and there has been quite a clamour for the return of Mackie’s Ice Cream – so here it is!”
Mackie’s of Scotland National Account Manager Stuart Common said: “We are delighted to be coming home to HMT after a 15-year absence, we know it’s what audiences want and it’s certainly something we have been working towards for a long time now.
“Our late Chairman, Maitland Mackie, used to ask me ‘why can I not buy a Mackie’s when I go to the theatre?’, so he would have been thrilled to see our ice cream being sold at HMT again.”
