With the wave of the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand, more panto fans can get to see Aberdeen’s spectacular Christmas fairytale Cinderella, at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen.
To meet the demand for tickets for the show – which is on target to be HMT’s seventh record-breaking panto in a row – Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) has opened up the theatre’s balcony section – adding hundreds of additional seats for the shows to Monday, December 30.
And there are still great seats available for the January performances of the magical smash-hit production.
“There has been very limited availability for tickets to the panto between now and the end of the year, yet we know a lot of people still want to make the panto part of their Christmas celebrations,” said APA press manager Joyce Summers.
“So opening the balcony at the top of the theatre will give more people the chance to see this great festive show before the year’s end.”
Tickets to see Cinderella are available online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
The smash-hit production by APA and Qdos Entertainment – which notched up more than £1million in ticket sales before opening night on November 30, has already received rave reviews from both critics and public alike.
The laughter-filler show stars Aberdeen’s own panto doyen Elaine C Smith as the Fairy Godmother Fairy Mary, the North-east’s favourite Dame Alan McHugh as Nessie Hardup, Jordan Young as Button, Barbara Rafferty as Demonica (the Wicked Stepmother), Gillian Parkhouse as Cinderella, Ross William Wild as Prince Charming, Derek McGhie as Dandini and Iain Stuart Robertson as Morag Hardup.
