Young musicians and those keen to work in the industry are to get the advice of key professionals in the music business at a one day event in Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree next week.
Off the Record will run from 10.30am to 5pm on Sunday, October 4, and is open to anyone aged 14 to 25.
The seminars, workshops and advice sessions are all geared to demystifying the industry and providing the basic knowledge to get started and topics will include Organising & Getting Gigs, Promoting Your Music, Releasing Music and Working in Music.
Speakers include Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio, The Sun), Stina Tweeddale (Honeyblood), Dave Hook (Stanley Odd), Olaf Furniss (The Scotsman), Michael Lambert (A Modern Way Management), Aileen Lynn (MILK Glasgow), Nicky Carder (Beyond Presents), Steven Milne (The Lemon Tree / Little Kicks) and Lewis Gale (Academy of Music & Sound).
