Note-worthy classes to sing about

Spring might be some way off, but Aberdeen’s songbirds are to fill the musical void with the return of the extremely popular Adult Singing Workshops at His Majesty’s Theatre.

The series of workshops, which kick off on Tuesday, are fun and open to all levels of ability – no previous singing experience required!

“I can guarantee that regardless of whether you are a keen singer, or don’t sing at all, the sessions will be extremely rewarding, “ said Aberdeen Performing Arts creative learning worker and voice coach Paul Hudson.

“This series, the group will be singing their favourite songs - specially arranged for them – so everyone is invited to bring along their ideas and learn to sing their favourite tunes!

“Those who came to the previous sessions are also very welcome to join us again.”

Over the course of the next seven weeks, those taking part will develop the skills and confidence to begin using their voices in a fun and relaxed way.

The sessions are held on Tuesday nights, from February 7 to March 20, in the rehearsal studio at His Majesty’s Theatre, and numbers are limited to 30.

The cost is £20 (£15 concession) for the block of seven sessions and places can be booked by phone at 01224 641122 or in person at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall or His Majesty’s Theatre.
