Popstar Paloma Faith set to play Aberdeen’s Music Hall

Style icon, singer-songwriter and actress Paloma Faith is to play Aberdeen’s Music Hall this winter as part of a UK-wide tour to promote her new album A Perfect Contradiction.

And tickets for the Monday, November 17 gig go on sale this Friday (April 4) at 9am online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, and at 9.30am by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

“Paloma Faith is one of the most exciting talents in Britain today and we are thrilled beyond words to be able to welcome her to the Music Hall,” said Aberdeen Performing Arts press manager Joyce Summers.

“Coming on the heels of our announcement yesterday, that Lily Allen will gig here next month, it cements the Music Hall’s standing as a top music venue in Scotland.”

Known for her unique, retro and eccentric style, the pop superstar released her third album last month, preceded by the single, Can't Rely on You which debuted at No10 on the UK official charts.

Paloma Faith released her debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? in 2009, which went double-platinum in the UK and spawned two top 20 hits in the UK, Stone Cold Sober and New York.

In 2012, she released her second studio album, Fall to Grace, which reached No2 on the UK albums chart and also certified double-platinum in the UK.

The first single Picking Up the Pieces became her highest charting single to that point.

Last year, Paloma Faith received two nominations for Best Female and Best British Album at the BRIT Awards

She has also made feature film appearances in the 2007 remake St Trinian's, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and Dread.
